Please reach us at info@marshmaze.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The Marsh Maze is an award winning tourist attraction located in a beautiful part of the Kent countryside and only 5 minutes from the beach. It offers a variety of activities for visitors of all ages, including the largest planted maze in Kent. Nothing digital or electronic, just good old fashioned outdoor fun.
We have something for just about everyone. From toddlers to adults and everyone inbetween.
Kernel's korner is a special area for just the under 6's although they are also welcome to use the larger areas.
We charge for children once they are walking so usually around 1yr old.
The hours of operation for The Marsh Maze vary depending on the season. During peak season, it is open from 10am to 5pm every day. During off-peak season, it may be closed certain days of the week. Please check our website for the most up-to-date information.
The attraction is completely outdoors, which does have a lot of advantages unless it rains!
If it is raining, the chances are we are still open (a banner will show on the home page of this website if not). Bring wellies, dress for the weather and make the most of it.
No refunds will be given unless we close the site due to the weather conditions.
If it is a hot summers day (which we all hope it is) then our water battle arena is extremely popular but does mean you will get wet...bring a towel/change of clothing just in case.
You are welcome to bring your own water blasters but please make sure you do not leave these unattended.
We believe our maze is still the largest in Kent. Some years there can be a couple of miles of walkways. That said, due to the nature of the game you take part in (it is not a find the centre/way out kinda maze) you may only walk some of it. There is a smaller maze within the large maze for little legs to do.
We offer free parking in 2 car parks. Toilets are available on site for your use.
We offer a range of cooked foods ranging from burgers and hotdogs to jacket potatoes, chips etc. Sandwich bags for the children. Our 'scoppery' offers award winning scoop ice creams, hot and cold drinks and new for 2024 milkshakes based on the ice creams we sell. Along with numberous snacks. You are welcome to bring your own picnic should you wish.
Although we are dog lovers, we do not allow dogs on site due to livestock in the surrounding fields at the farm. Sorry!
We accept both cash and card in our attraction.
Our events days for 2024 are 17th August. This is a ticket only event and you may be able to obtain these on the day at the gate. However please do NOT travel without either a booked ticket or knowing you can get gate entry.
Although we try hard to make all areas availabel to those with limited mobility, we do have a few areas out of bounds.
Must mobility scooter/wheelchairs can access the main maze, this becomes a little trickier on wet days. The site is mainly flat. We are always available to hlep on the day should you require assistance.
All the Alpacas on site belong to Alpaca Annie www.alpacaannie.com . Our Bumpy Express ride will go through the maze and from the train you may be able to see Alpacas. Quite often they are in nearby paddocks for you to see during your visit.
If you wish to get up close and personal with them? contact Alpaca Annie directly or visit them whilst onsite. www.alpacaannie.com
